Freedom In Commitment:
An Immersive Experience
6 Months | Spring 2026 | Online with Lila & Thomas
An exploration of what becomes possible when we truly choose ourselves, another person, and the life we want to create.

About The Experience
Have you ever wondered whether commitment means giving up too much of yourself?
-
Have you ever been torn between wanting to choose someone fully and wanting to keep the door open to explore what else might be possible?
-
Have you ever felt that keeping your options open can seem more free, exciting, or alive than committing to one person?
-
Have you ever wondered how you actually know whether someone is the person you want to build a life with?
-
Have you ever wondered when difficulty in a relationship is a sign that something is wrong — and when it is something to work through?
-
Have you ever wondered why a long-term relationship can feel so different from the freedom and romance of the beginning?
-
Have you ever questioned the point of choosing someone for life when neither of you can know who you will become?
Enter Freedom In Commitment
Commitment can carry an old-fashioned and restrictive reputation: giving up possibilities, changing for another person, closing doors, sacrificing parts of our individual lives, or losing access to desires and experiences we associate with freedom.
But could it be that commitment asks us to transform our very relationship with freedom?
Freedom in Commitment is a six-month group journey exploring our relationship with commitment, choice and life partnership — the resistance commitment can bring up, the courage it takes to choose, the power we gain when we do so, and the possibilities that choice can open.
What we will explore
Over the six months, we will move through questions around:
Choice — what it means to choose one direction, one person and one life, and what we gain back when we willingly let go of what distracts us from what matters most in the long term.
Choosing and building a life with another — what truly matters when choosing a partner, how we know whether a relationship is one we genuinely want to choose, and what happens as the freedom and romance of the beginning develops into a longer-term partnership.
Relationship as inner work — what relationship reveals when tension, fear, resistance and old patterns surface, and how we can meet moments of conflict without getting lost in blame and recurring cycles.
Discernment — how to distinguish between difficulty that asks something of our growth and something that is genuinely unhealthy or untrue; exploring both the impulse to leave when relating becomes difficult, and the belief that enduring difficulty is, in itself, proof of commitment.
Individuality within partnership — how intimacy, freedom, boundaries and a strong sense of self can coexist with deep commitment.
The journey opens the inquiry into what is actually being asked of us, what belongs to our own transformation, and what choice is true.
It is a deep inquiry into what you are actually choosing, and why. We explore how our perception of commitment shapes our experience of it, and how we can begin to experience what is true and free within commitment.
